These handmade, Fair Trade and eco friendly leather journals are made by a small family business in Rajasthan, India. Each leather journal is individual, leather is a natural product and can have slight imperfections, we feel this adds to the individuality and makes each product unique. The approximate dimensions of these leather journals are: 135 x 185 mm. These stylish journals have approximately 125 pages of unlined khadda paper; khadda is recycled cotton that has been left over from the massive garment industry in India. It is handmade and doesn’t contain any chemicals as we use only unbleached cotton. The paper is very easy to write on but does have a slight texture. We DO NOT advise the usage of an ink pen on this paper; ball point or gel pen will work the best. The embossing on these journals has been done with love, care and individual small handmade tools, making each journal unique. Because of the handmade nature of this leather journal, the small details of the embossed pattern will not be the same as on the image but the ‘Celtic Knot’ element of the design would be the same as shown. The leather has been tanned by our suppliers the usage of a natural dye and the put together the usage of a mixture of love, contemporary and traditional skills. These journals have been expertly crafted with the pages hand stitched in and are perfect for travelling and perfect for just doodling or diary writing. Because of the handmade nature of these products colour and designs may rather vary but loveliness comes as standard.
