This is where it all started. In 1991 Barry Barr was once running a fishing boat off the wet and windy Alaskan coast. A gust blew his hat off his head and sent it into the drink. This will be the last time this happened to Barry because he had an idea; make a better hat. Fast forward nearly 30 years and this beauty is still hand cut and hand sewn in Seattle by the similar circle of relatives. How about that for staying power? The name of the game on this hat lies in its constructions and materials. This includes the beefy nylon tubular webbing with 4,000lbs verge of collapse, KAVU d-ring adjustment, five 43-stitch bar tacks, tough polyurethane bill, heat laminated underbill, and four panel design secured with 1″ grosgrain covered internal seams. And this year the toughest hat available on the market gets just a bit bit better. Now made in 100% certified organic cotton. 4 panel cap, slight curved bill, black underbill, patterned nylon tubular webbing with KAVU adjustment.
