Viking Bottles is a London based company whose mission is to conquer single use plastic bottles by designing a range of prime quality, stylish, and convenient reusable bottles, with just the right amount of edge. This bottle is made of the highest quality food-grade silicone we could find. It is lightweight and collapsible so you’ll roll it up and stash it away when it is empty. What is Silicone? Well, we think it’s a wonder material. It is made mostly from silicon (essentially sand) and oxygen. We prefer this to plastic which is made mainly from hydrocarbons (essentially oil). It is totally non-toxic. It does not impart flavour. It is more durable than plastic. It does not break down into nasty micro-plastics. It does not crack or peel. It does not dry out or turn into brittle over time. It has an out of this world temperature range of -60°C to 200°C (the lid has a range of -40°C to 120°C) and is dishwasher protected. It is, in a nutshell, an awesome material with which to make a reusable bottle so that you can last for years. Most silicone bottles out there tend to suffer from three main problems – they leak, they are too floppy which makes drinking awkward, and they use cheap silicone which leads to a lingering smell. The Viking Collapsible Silicone Bottle has been designed to overcome these problems. 1. It has a unique five-layer leak prevention system: leak-proof valve; unique air valve sealing ring; silicone sealing mat built into the lid; thickened silicone sealing ring in the cap; the main body is ultrasonically welded to the lid which ensures a safe fit. 2. It is made with prime quality silicone which holds its shape and has been designed to give it structural rigidity without compromising its versatility. 3. It is made from prime quality food-grade silicone which does not affect flavour or leave a lingering smell. A small carabiner is included as a free gift.
